Building Interior
-Renovate restrooms
-New ceilings throughout
-New flooring throughout
-Reconfiguration for Special Education
-Replace retractable walls between classrooms with permanent walls
-Replace lockers
-Replace bleachers in gym
-Replace all interior door hardware
-Replace/modify stairway railings
Building Envelope
-Replace 75,000 square feet of roofing
-Remove and replace all windows and skylights
-Remove and replace exterior doors and hardware
-Repair water infiltration issues
Life Safety
-Install comprehensive fire alarm system
-Install fire sprinkler system
-Create "fire-rated" electrical closets for emergency lighting panels
Accessibility
-Bring interior of building into full compliance with accessibility codes
-Bring walkways and grounds into full compliance with accessibility codes
Structural
-Repair cracking caused by settling in various areas throughout the building
Mechanical/Electrical Systems
-Replace HVAC system that has exceeded its life expectancy (existing system is electric heat, new system will be gas-fired boilers)
-Expand energy management system to control all equipment
-Replace and upgrade electrical service and panels due to age and to meet
technology needs
-Add electrical outlets in classrooms for technology needs
-Upgrade data network backbone to meet current and future technology needs
-Install more efficient lighting throughout
